Well, for the last year, almost, I have been working on my mums website.

I built the whole site from scratch twice now for the 3 versions that have been live.

At the beginning of May the 3rd version went live to the world, when looking side by side with the previous version of the site there isn’t that much of a difference but there was a major redesign/redevelopment to the site as a whole.

Now in version 3.0 e-commerce has been implemented so that the site is more like that of an online shop such as amazon or play. This has been done with the addition of PayPal to the site as the online Basket and checkout, as such payments are very secure and you are able to pay with card or with a PayPal account.

Version 3.5 is currently being worked on by me for the integration of WordPress and a MySQL back server. As such with this minor update the lewiscrafts blog will be hosted on the website it’s self rather than an external link and will have the same look as the website it’s self, with the MySQL database I will be able to have the site running more dynamically and as such updates to the products will be easier and quicker.

Please pay a visit to my mums website:

2012 – So Far

Well it has been a while since I have updated my blog so I think that it is about time that I do.

It is now 2012 and not much has changed in my life.

For 2 months at the end of last year I had a job but that fell through just after New Year, the week before my 21st Birthday.

The job was going well, I was mainly creating and editing the companies websites which is something that is easy for me to do as I am competent in HTML and CSS coding.

As I am on the topic of websites, I am currantly undertaking a major update on my Mums website and I am hopeful that it will be updated within the next couple of days. The updates that i am making is to make the site feel more like an e-commerce site as its currant configuration is just a simple site that is more like a catalog rather than something that you would go onto to purchase anything as currently my mum is using Ebay to sell her bags.

Also I am working on my own website, I have been working on the designs for a while and I have now chosen a design that I like and I have created a logo design too which will be on all of my sites once I have managed to render it on the computer.

I am now an owner of an Apple iPhone 3G s (16GB), I know that it is an out dated model as the iPhone 4S came out the week after but I have to say that I like the old 3G s, but I would love to have one of the new ones though.

Well I think that I have updated the world on all of the Major things as everything else is pretty much the same.

As always please stalk me on Twitter as i do update there more than on the blog.

Until the next update.

(Don’t tell him Pike)

My life is boring

So I haven’t updated my blog for a while, I really haven’t been up to much to warrant a blog post.

I am however going to attempt to make one.

Doctor Who

The 11th Doctors TARDIS

So last week the Mid-Season finale of season 6 of Doctor who was aired on BBC One (A Good Man Goes to War).

Going into the episode I knew two things:

  1. We would find out who River Song is.
  2. The Doctor would rescue Amy Pond.
Also going into the episode I had, from previous episodes, expected:
  1. We would find out Who River Song had Killed.
    • In “Flesh and Stone” back in season 5 Farther Octavian stated that River Song was a prisoner because she killed a man; a good man.
    • River song had also stated that the man she murdered was the best man she’d ever known.
    • The Title “A Good Man Goes to War gave me the impression that we would find out who this is.
But this theory however was proven to be false.
We did find out who River song was and it was one of the theories that I have been working on since the start of the season. In “Day of the Moon” the second episode we see a picture of Amy holding a baby, presumably the baby that she had told The Doctor that she was pregnant with at the end of the previous episode “The impossible Astronaut” and that this baby is the Little Girl that was in the Space Suite. Then there was the fact that the Little Girl Regenerated at the end of the episode “Day of the Moon”. in the episode “The Doctors Wife” Idris/The TARDIS/Sexy told Rory just before she died the “The only water in the forest is the River” which was a clue to River songs Identity and only solidified my theory.  What confirmed my theory was the Name that Amy had given her child in “A Good Man Goes to War”, she had called he daughter Melody, Melody Pond.
Melody is also a Song and if the only water in the forest is a River than there is no word for Pond and that would mean that River song is Melody Pond and there for Amy and Rory’s Daughter.
This was a clever and well thought through plot feature, and I do have to congratulatory Steven Moffat on this. he kept us all guessing right up to the end and there are still elements to River/Molody’s life that we have yet to find out.

The End of June and Beginning of July

So I am going to watch Glee Live on the 26th of June at the O2. I have never been to the O2, but I am really looking forward to it.

On the 9th July I am going to London Film and Comic Con at Earls Court 2. I am also really looking forward to this as there are a number of Actors/Actresses that I would love to meet there from the many shows that I have enjoyed over the years.

I recently Finished reading  Stargate Atlantis: Book #10 Nightfall, By James Swallow. This was a really good book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have just started reading Stargate Atlantis: Book #17, Legacy Series book 2, The Lost, By Jo Graham & Amy Griswold. this is good so far but I am only a few chapters in.

I think that that is everything. I am going to sign off now.

Until next time, follow me on Twitter.

Good News/Bad News

Well I am not the luckiest of people but over the recent weeks that has seemed obvious but good things do happen every so often.

Signed 2009 Vancouver Stargate Convention Poster

Signed by Michel Shanks

Back in January I turned 20 and in the last post I mentioned that I got a new phone, one thing that I didn’t mention is that I got a Hand Signed poster from the 2009 Stargate Convention held in Vancouver in Canada, and it is signed by none other than Michel Shanks (Daniel Jackson from Stargate SG-1)

I need to get a Frame for it so that it wont get damaged and so that it can hang on my wall with the picture I got for Christmas.

Stargate Atlantis: Homecoming

Stargate Atlantis: Homecoming

Over the last few weeks I have been reading the first book in the Stargate Atlantis Legacy Series from Fandemonium. As it suggests it is set after the events of Season 5 episode 20 ‘Enemy at the Gate’ of Stargate Atlantis. There was a film planned to continue the story of Stargate Atlantis called ‘Stargate: Extinction’ but due to the financial trouble that MGM have been in it has been shelved Indefinitely, Hear is a link to the story over at GateWorld. This is a Great way to continue the show and I am really looking forward to the next book in the Series ‘The Lost’.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome has started filming in Vancouver which is good news and I am interested in where this show is going to go as it is following a teenage Bill ‘Husker’ Adama (Luke Pasqualino) on-board the Galactica and his commanding officer Coker Fasjovik (Ben Cotton). As it is filmed like Sanctuary, mostly on Green Screen, it is set to look good as they are using scans of the old Galactica set and modified them so that the ship looks Brand New rather than falling apart.

"You Are Hear."

"You Are Hear."

In December I won a T-Shirt from @SyFy. As it was posted so close to Christmas and it was coming from New York I only got it at the beginning of the month. I have to say that it is worth the wait though as it is one of my new Favorite t-shirts. Its odd seeing as I have started to opt for Shirt and Ties more now.

In other news I have joined I was thinking about joining for a while but I never had the time to do it but the other week they had people in the Pentagon in Chatham. They had a Deal going for 2 months for the price of one so I am paying £10 for 2 months worth of unlimited rentals which is pretty good I have to say.

Well I think that that is all for now, there will be more updates soon, I will make time to blog more often. So untill next time you can follow my antics on Twitter.

(I like Glee)

Job Applications, Glasses and Phones.

I have been looking for work since I left college back in June of last year and I have not had much success. Yes I had an interview for Tesco just before Christmas but they didn’t want me and I didn’t give up, I am still looking but there is very little out there for me. Recently I have been looking for Bar Work with no luck, the reason I am not having any luck is due to companies and businesses are not willing to take a risk and hire people that aren’t experienced. A number of applications I have made to Various places (e.g. PC World/Curries) wont take me due to not having experience of working with customers, even though I do have good communication Skills, but I am the person that they are looking for. Now is it me or is this a little backwards, I am the person that they are looking for but I can’t have the job due to not having worked with people/customers.

On Monday I got a new pair of Glasses, I was happy with the choice and I had had them for all of 2 hours and the arm fell off. That is just my luck that is but I didn’t let it get to me, as I am with SpecSavers I just went back up and they replaced them with a new pare for me. However, the frames that I had originally chosen were discontinued and so I had to chose a different set and i had to wait for the lenses to be mad and I got them yesterday. So far there has been no problems with them.

For my 20th Birthday I got a phone from my Mum (well she payed for half of it and the rest came from Birthday and Christmas money and the trade in of my old phone). I got the LG Optimus (GT540), it is an Android phone and I have to say I have liked it since I saw the adverts for it last year. I did have my eyes on the iPhone 3Gs but I have to say that this has been a less expensive choice for something that is one of the biggest rivals of the iPhone. (I think this is the case seeing as Microsoft have teamed up with Nokia due to their phones not doing so well in the market compared to the iPhone and Android phones.)

I would like to hear from those that read my blog, Please comment below (you don’t have to but it would be nice to get some feedback from readers).

As always you can follow me hear

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read about my life.

(Lets do the Time Warp again)

Another New Post for a New Year

Happy New Year!!!! (a little late I know but I forgot)

So New Years eve at 5 to midnight I remembered that I had not Scheduled a post for Midnight, I have been a little busy since the 1st so I have just got round to doing this post.

This year is going to be a pain as I am still looking for a job and after 6 months of looking already I am a little bored with doing nothing other than looking.

Well I guess we should catch up:

Christmas day was fun. I was up at 10:00 and I was picked up by my Uncle about half hour later.  When we got to my Mums it wasn’t long before we were opening presents. Just before they were all handed out I was handed my 6 month old Brother and it was so fun as I helped him open his presents before I opened mine.

Most of my gifts that I got are practical as I have started using the ink Cartreges in my printer, the Calender is up and I have been wearing the shirt and using the Wallet and the External Hard Drive.

My Birthday is a week away (16/01/2011) and I am looking forward as I am turning 20.

I should hopefully be bloging (or trying to that is) atleast once a week.

Well That Happened

Well as I look at my blog for the first time in about 3 months I realise that I have not updated the world with all of these interesting things that have happen to me. That is to say I have done some things that people may find interesting.

I did go to Stafford Uni for my interview and that was actually a really good day out, apart from not being able to find a toilet for and hour. The day was warm but not as warm as it has been over the last week or so.

I voted in the general election, that was an odd sensation of disappointment as I voted for change and I got it but not in the shape that I was hoping for.

I am still in college but I should be finished on the 18th and that will be weird as it will mean that I will have to look for a part time job before I hopefully get into Uni, I am still hopeful that I will get in to Newport but nothing is 100% carved in stone and you never know what the future has in store for you.

I recently got a new Mobile Phone. I now have an LG KP500 Cookie, it is a really good phone and surprisingly easy to use. My old phone has now probably arrived at envirophone so at least I am doing something good there and getting more money than my friend Paul did for a phone that was more advanced as mine was.

Stargate Universe finishes this week in America and next week over hear in the UK and i am going to go out on a limb and say “I have really enjoyed the 1st season of SGU and I cant wait for the 2nd season.” I am not going to post any spoilers to what happens or to what has happened so far so you are safe.

That about it really as the other things that have happened in the last 3 months I am unable to talk about or I feel that they don’t need to be shared but they may come to light in the near future.

As always there is more from me over on Twitter so if you have Twitter and you have an interest in the day to day workings of my life, or your a stalker that you should defiantly follow me.

(well that was fun, now lets try something else)
